Professional Achievements

  • Piano performance professor at the Josip Marinkovic music education college, Belgrade, Serbia.
  • Founder of the piano/violin duet with violinist MilicaMihajlovic. This project completed a series of over 30 benefit concerts, during the period of 2010 to 2012.
  • Founder of the piano duo “Iva Despotovic & Nemanja Nikolic”. The main focus of this project is to nurture and promote contemporary music to the general public. Amongst numerous national and international performances, this duet has also performed the international premier of the work of Michael Easton Cocktail Suite for two, 2012, Gallery Artget, Belgrade (Serbia).
  • In cooperation with composer Maja Mitrovic and collaboration with a number of other instrumental soloists, Iva Despotovic co-ordinated and performed for the musical stage performance “Confusion at the scene”.  Performed under the motto “Bring your noise” with the aim to give a new perspective to the audience, which allows the audience to participate during the performance under directions by the conductor. The work was performed during the 2010/2011 season in Belgrade, Serbia as well as in London, United Kingdom.
  • Iva Despotovic is the author of an adaptation of the musical fairy tale “Peter  and the wolf” for two pianos and a narrator, by S. Prokofiev. Produced by I.M. Kolarac foundation and “Neki fini ljudi” within “little school etiquette”, how to listen to the concert. The premier of this performance tok place at the Great Hall I.M. Kolarac in January 2014 and has successfully performed during the entire concert season in Belgrade and Novi Sad. This project was supported by Ministry of Education and technological development in 2014.
